Press Release

Christmas can make you Snore!

Release Date: September 2005

Santa Claus probably snores, judging by the number of mince pies and glasses of sherry he consumes. Being overweight and drinking excess alcohol are both contributing factors in turning the odd nightly grumble into a huge snoring problem.

If you are overweight the likelihood of fat cells being present in the back of the throat is higher, which may reduce the airway and increase snoring. Alcohol consumption helps to relax the soft tissues at the back of the throat. This means that they are more likely to vibrate and cause snoring.

Tasty as it is, eating turkey can actually increase snoring. Tryptophan, the hormone found in turkey, causes drowsiness and sleep. Such a sleep can cause throat obstructions, so if there was a mild snoring condition before, it will be intensified during a turkey-induced sleep.*

However, now Santa’s little helper is Snoreeze, an easy-to-use snoring remedy. Snoreeze works by lubricating the soft tissues at the back of the throat, lessening the vibrations that cause snoring, enabling you to get a night of peace. It’s a perfect stocking filler.

The festive season is a great excuse to overindulge in absolutely everything. But before you pick up that fourth mince pie, or pour your sixth glass of mulled wine, you may want to reconsider! That this Christmas excess could not only add to your waistline, but fuel snoring misery, spoiling you and your partner’s festive fun.
