Snoring increases stress levels

Release Date: November 2002

Snoring is causing increased stress for British workers – and businesses – with over a quarter claiming that their work suffers as a result of losing out on a good night’s sleep. With Stress Awareness Day approaching (6 November), make sure your partner’s snoring isn’t causing you added stress in the work place.

Research conducted on behalf of Passion for Life, manufacturers of best-selling snoring remedy Snoreeze, showed that more than half of the long-suffering partners (54%), said they felt stressed and emotional either every day (21%) of frequently (33%).

Keith Fraser, principal of the Institute of Stress Management, comments “If you are unable to sleep efficiently and awake refreshed, you will not be in very good shape to perform you day’s activities well. A good night’s sleep is vitally important in terms of improving your resistance to stress. Ideally a person’s sleeping hours should be consecutive and this will be difficult to achieve with a snoring partner.”

Nearly a third (30%) of partners blamed their other half’s snoring for poor performance at work, whilst one in four (25%) of snorers themselves felt their work was frequently affected.

The Snoreeze Census also revealed that snoring is causing major rifts between couples with one in four claiming that it ruins their sex lives. One in ten even admitted they had considered divorce.

“Broken sleep due to your partner snoring can seriously damage your happiness levels”, says Ben Renshaw co-director of The Happiness Project. “There is no doubt that the build up of tiredness and the resulting stress leads us to suffer the loss of our sense of humour – an essential aid for stress relief. Just the idea of a natural anti-snoring remedy puts a smile on my face and is the first step in restoring sanity and wellbeing.”

Snoreeze is a natural anti-snoring remedy containing a unique combination of essential oils and vitamins that coat the soft tissues in the throat to help stop the vibrations that cause snoring.

The easy-to-use throat spray has been proven to be 93% effective in reducing snoring noise according to the partners of snorers. A double-blind placebo-controlled study found that Snoreeze eliminated snoring altogether in 50% of participants.

Snoreeze costs £12.95 for 50 nights of peace. Simply spray the back of the throat three times before going to bed.
