- Find the snore relief product that's right for you
- Try to sleep on your side; you can train yourself by sleeping on the sofa for a couple of days
- If you are overweight, try to lose a few pounds
- Avoid drinking alcohol close to bedtime

- Avoid medication that has a sedative effect (under supervision from your doctor), as this can relax the muscles at the back of the throat
- Don't eat a heavy meal too close to bedtime
- Eliminate any allergens such as dust or feather pillows from your bedroom
- Exercise to help improve muscle tone and general fitness
- Establish regular sleep patterns and get adequate sleep
- Become more musical! There is some evidence that learning to play the didgeridoo or taking up singing can strengthen the muscles of the upper airways and lead to less snoring
